Client: Into
Category: Light therapy device
Date: 2023
INTO Stand is a desk-mounted stand designed for the San Francisco startup INTO. The stand supports INTO’s light therapy device, which uses dynamic LED light patterns to provide relaxation and reduce stress. Since the product is only used for brief moments throughout the day, the stand design focuses on allowing it to remain accessible while maintaining a quiet yet unique presence within the workspace.
The stand folds down into a soft fabric cover that blends naturally into home and office environments when not in use. The fabric cover is removable, allowing users to personalize the product while introducing a warm contrast to the precision of the metal design. Made entirely from anodized aluminum, the stand has a minimal architectural form where the oversized hinges become its aesthetic character. Carefully engineered to balance strength and smooth movement, the hinges allow the user to position the device with one hand while securely holding it at any angle. The result is a design identity that combines the precision of engineered hardware with the comfort and approachability of furniture.
